Elevating Student-Athletes Together
Athletics at Licking Heights builds more than competitors, it builds character, resilience, leadership, and pride. With 21 Varsity programs and growing participation, the need for strong community partnership has never been greater.
The Hornet Champions Club is our official annual giving initiative designed to sustain and strengthen Hornet Athletics for the long term.
This is a private philanthropic effort. Your gift directly supports student-athletes, not district operating expenses.
Together, we ensure every athlete has access to safe, competitive, meaningful experiences.

How Your Gift Makes an Impact
Half of every gift supports the Athletic Shared Service Fund, which benefits all Hornet athletic programs. These funds help remove financial barriers for student-athletes while expanding opportunities across the entire program. Through this support, Hornet athletes gain access to enhanced training opportunities, modern equipment upgrades, student-athlete leadership programs, and experiences that provide exposure to college-level athletics and competition. At the Flight Champion giving level and above, a portion of your commitment may be designated to one or more sports. This allows you to directly support the program that matters most to you while still strengthening the overall success and sustainability of Hornet Athletics.

How do funds raised by Licking Heights Athletics differ from taxpayer dollars contributed by residents in terms of use and allocation?
Funds raised by the Athletic department come from private donations and support the following areas: certified athletic trainers, modern equipment and uniforms, league participation and officials, well-maintained facilities, safe transportation, and sustainable programs across 21 different sports.
Taxpayer dollars, by contrast, fund the operating budget, covering essential needs such as teacher salaries, classroom materials, transportation, and utilities–everything required for the school to function day to day.
Are donations to the Hornet Champions Club tax deductible?
Contributions to the Hornet Champions Club may be tax deductible. Donors will receive a formal acknowledgment letter for tax purposes.
We always recommend consulting with your tax advisor to understand how a charitable contribution may benefit your individual tax situation.
Are Licking Heights sports programs going to lead other fundraising efforts outside of the Hornet Champions Club?
The goal of this campaign is to create consistency among athletic programs for fundraising requests. As such, the campaign is an annual fundraising request to all local stakeholders and businesses, instead of different sports asking different organizations throughout the year. Teams are still welcome to lead select sport-specific fundraisers, but remember that all individual fundraising efforts MUST be approved by the Athletic Department. Please note that the ultimate goal of this campaign is to take the place of individual sport fundraising efforts.
