Our Lady Hornets, gave their all on the court tonight in the 1st rounds of our OHSAA Tournament games against #7 seed Pickerington Central’s Lady Tigers, with a 55 – 31 loss. This unprecedented basketball season had our Lady Hornets in an uphill battle all season and with their never quit attitude; they found themselves stronger and better than they started. Through all the adversity of COVID, virtual school and simply dealing with all the changes to the game, our Lady Hornets, pressed through, endured and adjusted like champions. They did not quit, therefore they were not defeated. We took every obstacle as an opportunity to get better and we are excited about our future and the future is NOW.
Congratulations, to a historical season, the first to play during a pandemic and in our new building during virtual school and hybrid curriculum, all of which are the first of these times; the Lady Hornets made herstory.
Here’s the scoring for the evening:
Mali Thornton: 5
Savanna Cronin: 1
Madison Werling: 22
