Licking Heights Hornets fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 7-3 loss to Wheelersberg Middle School on Saturday. Wheelersberg Middle School scored on a double by Carter, a groundout by Wright, and a single by May in the first inning.

Wheelersberg Middle School fired up the offense in the first inning, when Carter doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Licking Heights Hornets put up three runs in the third inning. Licking Heights Hornets’s big bats in the inning were led by an error on a ball put in play by Ava VonBargen and Kyliee Trouten and a single by Madelyn Gates.

Carter was credited with the victory for Wheelersberg Middle School. undefined went five innings, allowing three runs on two hits, striking out three and walking zero.
