The Lady Hornets hosted the Lady Warriors in a conference rivalry tonight and fail short, but played very hard and together. The Hornets were led by their team Captain, Madi Werling, who was the high scorer of the game for both teams with a big 16, and 3 assist, and a block, as she set the tempo for her teammates, both on offense and defense. Freshman, small forward, Savanna Cronin added 4 points and awesome defense.
The Lady Hornets, two guard, freshman Miya Bradley was a force to be reckoned tonight with two three pointers for 6 points; her defensive hustle transitioned into a couple of rebounds. Hannah Byers, senior post player, pulled down 9 rebounds and added 3 points. Freshman post player, Amya Thompson snagged 6 rebounds and a field goal for 2 points tonight in valiant effort. Tonight’s game showed promise and this young Lady Hornets Basketball team’s future is now.
We’re back on our court, this Thursday, January 7th @ 7:15pm .
Remember to mask up, stay healthy and safe!
