Things started in the first inning when Josh Timmerman drove in one when he tripled.
Licking Heights scored three runs in the fifth inning, Derek Breidenbach, Brett Weaver, and Alex Melick each had RBIs in the frame.
Breidenbach led the HORNETS to victory on the mound. He allowed one hit and one run over six innings, striking out six. Zach Showalter threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
#11 took the loss for Newark. He allowed six hits and five runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one.
Licking Heights tallied six hits on the day, Melick and Timmerman each racked up multiple hits.
